Environmental labels

		
				Green Purchasing Guidelines
A set of standards formulated by the Green Purchasing Network (GPN),
a group established to promote green purchasing.
			
				International Energy Star
A mark attached to products that meet the standards of the International Energy Star Program.
			
				Low Energy Label 
A mark indicating whether the product complies with the standards set by the Law concerning the Rational Use of Energy.
 (A green mark for compliant products and an orange mark for noncompliant products.)
			
					PC Green Label 
A label, created by the PC3R Promotion Association, attached to environmentally sound personal computers.
			
				J-Moss 
A mark indicating the presence of specified substances in electrical and electronic devices as prescribed by the “J-Moss” Japan Industrial Standard.
 (A green mark for products that do not  contain the specified substances and an “included” mark for those that do.)
			
				Eco Mark
A label created by the Japan Environment Association indicating that the product has been independently certified as environmentally sound.
			
				Eco Leaf
An environmental labeling system run by the Japan Environmental Management Association for Industry.
			
				TCO
A Swedish environmental labeling system targeting office equipment such as computers, monitors and keyboards.
			
				Blue Angel
A German labeling system targeting 11 categories of electrical and electronics devices as well as paper products.Blue Angel is the world’s first environmental labeling system.
			
				Eco Symbol
A label attached to products that meet NEC’s unique environmental soundness standards.
